We’re renovating everything.

Our minds, bodies and our home!

Our new life in the country.

Life in the big city wasn’t BAD but life in the country is just so much BETTER!!!

The main reasons we all gravitate to cities is for the schools and the work opportunities. This last year gave us and so many others, the opportunity to re evaluate and realise that there are other options. There were choices we could make to give us and our kids a different life… A life with more space, a life with more authentic experiences, a less complicated life! And this is where we landed. In a small town called Greyton in the Western Cape of South Africa. There’s a population of less than 3000, there is beauty and nature all around us and horses roam the streets. There are no traffic lights, no Uber Eats and no Woolworths but the kids ride bikes to school and we get to breath the fresh air every day!

I started this page to make sure we capture and share some of our experiences or challenges we have on our journey of building our new home in this awesome little town!

Digging Deep!

It’s no surprise that I love to improve, refresh and transform things. A room, a space, a house, and more recently our lives.  With a property of over 1700 square meters full of trees, shrubs and lawn, I’ve not only had to learn HOW to garden but to love it too. At our previous house…
